Studio Paintings
Jennifer and I spent a few days camping at Cooper’s Landing one fall during the pandemic. This small campground is squeezed between the Katy Trail and Missouri River near Columbia Missouri. There is a dock and place for boats to fill up on gas down by the river. On our first night there was an awards ceremony for a volunteer group that cleans up paddles around cleaning trash from the river. Another night there was live music and a food truck. We spent time doing plein air art work from the campground and at nearby Rock Bridge State Park. And one evening the Lord put on this amazing light show over the river. I took photographs and worked up this painting later in the studio.
