Studio Paintings
My wife and I spent a wonderful evening here a couple of years ago. The evening light was spectacular. A (friendly) farm dog came by and kept us company as we painted by the road. The location is Deep Creek Road, one exit west of the Manhattan exit from 1-70, then north for about a mile. (Artist friends: Deep Creek Road has some great views to paint, north and south of 1-70. And Konza Prarie is just around the corner.) This studio painting is based on photo references and a plein air painting done there on location.
