Portfolio > PLEIN AIR PAINTINGS

I have bittersweet memories of my late grandmother driving her small group of cattle through these gates to get water after long days of grazing in the summer pasture. The passing of an era is reflected here. These buildings, fences, and trees have been bulldozed away since I painted this. Yet, there is still beauty in the crisp air and warm colors of fall. And there remains the sweet providence of God, who appoints a time to live, a time to die, and makes everything beautiful in its time.
