Maramuec Spring Park is located 8 miles southeast of St. James, Missouri. I find its visual interest unsurpassed, with its waterfalls, vegetation, and trout fishermen. It contains the fifth largest spring in the state, sending a daily average of 100 million gallons of water down the Spring Branch and into the Maramec River. Historic ironworks structures reflect the unique history of the site as the first successful ironworks west of the Mississippi.
